We have completed the first concept stage for a refurbishment of the Underwriting Room at Lloyd’s. This is a £20m project to upgrade the ground, first and second floors of the 1986 Rogers Building in Lime Street. Known as the Room this is the trading floor of Lloyd’s and the hub of the Lloyd’s insurance marketplace.
Our work includes a new design for the ‘Box’ the traditional enclosed workstation that underwriting syndicates trade from, an evolution of the original seating booths from the Lloyd’s Coffee house of the 1700’s. We are also putting a gallery coffee shop into the Room.
